On Sunday March 30th, we held our annual tournament, The Conquer Cup, at the Stevens Point Convention Center kicking off the Wisconsin Sport Karate League's 2025 season.

The day prior we hosted the WSKL Awards Banquet where competitors received their awards for the 2024 season. Everyone was dressed up to celebrate the occasion which included demonstrations from season winners, giveaways from Century Martial Arts and 10th Degree Weaponry, and plenty of fine food and drink. Conquer Martial Arts was was honored as the school that had brought the third most competitors to WSKL events throughout the season.
Left: Mr. Tews had the honor of representing Conquer as a performance during the banquet.
Right: Little Mr. Husain made his first appearance at a martial arts tournament, but he still has a few years until he's ready to enter the competition.
Then on Sunday, the actual tournament began bright and early. It was the largest our event has ever been with over 270 competitors entered in divisions. Conquer students brought home the most medals of all the schools in attendance with 30 gold medals, 22 silver medals, and 14 bronze medals! Mr. Mellette and Mr. Harper also both won a grand championship and each brought home one of the coveted Conquer Cups.

Excellent work to all of the competitors that participated and a huge thank you to all of our volunteers for scorekeeping, registration, awards, setup and teardown. I could not have done all of this on my own.
Here's to planning an even bigger Conquer Cup for 2026!
